All parts are made for harsh conditions and fowl weather. BilgeWizardTM parts are made of non corrosive, non reactive materials. The wiring is weather tight marine grade wiring. The fan housing is made in the United States of Poly-glass filled nylon. This material is more expensive than other plastics, but is much more resilient to strikes and thread wear due to constant installation and removal. The threads have a leader edge to reduce the possibility of cross threading.
