How durable are wool uniform fabrics?
Wool wears well, and can keep its good looks for years with proper care. Each wool fiber is made up of millions of coiled molecules that stretch and give with every movement. This natural “give” means less breaking of the wool fibers – which translates into less visible fabric “wear” and pilling than man-made fibers. The same resiliency allows it to recover its original shape after a brief rest, so uniforms maintain their crispness, wearing after wearing. Rotating uniforms regularly to allow for this recovery period extends the life of your uniform.
