How dose hair dye effect the strangth of your hair?
If you use hair dye and it has hydrogen peroxide in it, it will weaken your hair. When you look at your hair under a microscope, there are tiny scales along a cylindrical body which makes up the piece of your hair. When your hair comes in contact with the hydrogen peroxide, the bleaching agent is absorbed under these scales into your hair shaft (the cylindrical body). The hydrogen peroxide causes the shaft to deteriorate slightly and the color of your hair lights as a result. That is why after you dye your hair you usually need to use a HEAVY conditioning treatment. Otherwise, your hair is coarse and breaks easily.
