A /cgi-bin/ is available to run any CGI programs written in Perl or C. It is not necessary to check with Cyber Inks when uploading a CGI to the server. Your /cgi-bin/ is available to run most scripts, so long as the script is not malicious to the machine, bandwidth, users, or other as determined by Cyber Inks’ administrators. Cyber Inks also provides scripting tools such as PHP, ColdFusion, and FrontPage. PHP is a very easy to learn cgi-wrapper that greatly simplifies most CGI programming needs into simple HTML tags. Cyber Inks recommends its use highly, and every Cyber Inks web server has PHP available for free. PHP is mainly used for database connectivity, especially when used with mSQL and MySQL, and is very powerful, reliable, and fast.
