How does zicam work?
Zicam was created to help prevent the common cold. It contains an ingredient called Zincum Gluconicum which has been effective in treating and preventing the common cold. You can find Zicam in two types, A nasal gel and gel swabs. In my personal experience I have found that it is most effective when used as soon as you start feeling the scratchy throat, slight cough or the onset of a cold coming on. If you wait untill your cold has completely set in, it most likely will not help as it is recommended to prevent the cold from happening.
