Zerofootprint uses fuel data from Air Canada and converts it to CO2 emissions using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (www.ghgprotocol.org). In this way, our clients can be certain that our figures are as accurate as possible and in keeping with internationally endorsed standards of reporting and accounting. Backed by two of the most authoritative non-governmental organizations, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the World Resources Institute, this protocol is used internally by many companies concerned about their carbon footprint, including Ford Motor Company, IKEA International, and Sony Electronics.
