How Does XScale Work?
Step A: XScale extracts harmful dissolved lime from water via catalytic epitaxial crystallization. > XScale devices are in-line “catalytic water conditioners” because they accelerate the natural tendency of dissolved lime to crystallize, but do so before lime can deposit on pipes/surfaces further downstream. The proprietary composition of the XScale core mimics that of calcium carbonate crystals, allowing the dissolved lime in hard water to form microscopic crystals of “activated lime” on the core surface via the process of “epitaxial nucleation.
