How does Xerolet provide relief to public sewer systems?
Two factors influence the performance of sewer plants: the amount of water that is being treated (the Hydraulic component) and the amount of organics that must be digested (Organic Component). Xerolet Technology eliminates the organic components so storage time is greatly reduced. By taking the toilets off municipal water line supplies each home saves up to 40,000 gallons of water per year and sends no solid waste to the sewer plant. This increases the capacity of the sewer plant. In the future, as Xerolet’s use is widespread, sewer plants will no longer have to treat solid waste; instead they will become water recycling plants. Sewage revenues will still remain, but the plants can now provide a more important role by offering to help correct nationwide water shortages.
