How does World Vision send funds overseas?
Generally, funds are transferred twice a month by wire. Funds transferred in any given month reflect the dictates of our annual budget rather than actual monies received during that month. This ensures consistent support for projects even during times of slower giving. World Vision regional offices monitor the cash flow, as well as currency fluctuations which can affect World Vision’s work, to make sure funds arrive as needed. Major disasters may require an immediate response; World Vision transfers funds to the field more frequently if necessary.
