How does World Language class selection work?
Incoming freshmen can choose from a menu of World Language courses. Brophy offers Spanish and Latin on our campus, and there are potentially spots in Xavier French and Chinese courses. Incoming freshmen can select via the course request process which language they would like to study, and we will try to meet every request. Ultimately enrollment in Xavier courses is subject to availability, and to a certain extent outside of our control. Should a student wish to try and move up in a certain language he has already been studying, he may take a placement test in the spring before his freshman year.
