How does Webmail compare to Outlook Express or Netscape Mail?
Webmail is a light-weight email client, meaning that it’s features are not as robust as the features you might see in an email client such as Netscape Messenger or Outlook Express. Both Outlook Express and Netscape require you to install and/or configure email software on your personal computer, whereas Webmail does not require you to install or configure anything. Webmail Features: • Webmail allows you to send and receive email messages and attachments, create and manage mail folders, and maintain a personal address book. • There is a message highlighting feature, but no message filtering. • Webmail does not allow you to view Newsgroups. • There is no automatic address completion during message composition like you might have seen in programs like Pine or Netscape. • If you have a large number of messages in your Inbox, Webmail’s performance may be noticeably slower than Netscape, Outlook Express, or Pine.
