How does weather affect people in Iceland?
They live with it and get on with their lives. In the coastal regions it is not quite as cold as we sometimes would think. Iceland like the Britsih Isles experiences a warming effect from the jet stream warm ocean current. The name Iceland itself conjours up the wrong impression, in the summer when the winter snow has gone, Iceland is very green with lush grass land and moss carpeted lava fields. Iceland’s weather can be typified a maritime and extremely changable. Icelanders don’t pay much attention to weather forecasts more than a day ahead because the weather is so changable. They fit studded tyres on cars during the winter.
