How does WBT Manager establish criteria for successful completion of a lesson/course?
Each AICC-compliant lesson determines its own completion status upon exit and sends that status to the database. This status is typically based on a mastery score (passing score) set within the lesson. However, WBT Manager allows the system administrator to override a lesson’s built-in mastery score when defining the lesson in the system. Non-AICC-compliant lessons can have status entered manually or can be set to go to “completed” status as soon as the student enters the lesson. A course is set to completed status when all of its lessons are completed. WBT Manager also supports AICC “completion requirements” rules which allow courses to modify the default behavior specified about. With completion rules a course can be created with optional lessons and can allow lessons to be set to completed by pre-tests (student does not have to complete the lesson if they demonstrate mastery in a pre-test or previous lesson).
