How does WASA prioritize replacement of service pipes?
In the regular replacement program, WASA targets specific city blocks and replaces all lead services. Replacement services to homes not in designated blocks will be done on a case-by-case basis based on a number of variables. Greatest priority is given to homes where high levels of lead have been detected or where there are children under 6 and/or pregnant or nursing women.
