How Does Voice Over Internet Protocol Work?
Everyday, technology advances. Everyday, more and more gaps are being closed around the globe. Technological development that started in the Industrial Revolution, is now advancing to help achieve globalization. This progress is particularly evident in our communication. From Morse code, to snail mail, to telephones, communication has evolved with technology. Time and distance are no longer limits, especially with the rise of the Internet. The Voice over Internet Protocol is an evidence of this communication revolution. With VoIP, communication is not anymore only dependent analogue signals alone, but it can depend now on sending voice as a digital form. How does this work? Sending voice through the Internet is much like sending other multimedia. It sent through IP Packets. IP packets contain chunks of compressed audio. These IP packets then stream through the Internet until the full audio is received. On the receiving end, audio can be listened to by converting the digital data-if one
