How does Video Surveillance and remote video monitoring system integrate?
Digital video surveillance systems can be integrated with other elements of a security system, providing dynamic capabilities not available a generation ago. For example, if a door opens when it should be closed, contacts and motion detectors register the event and prompt the video surveillance system to capture images near that door. An alarm is sent over the internet to alert on-site security, directing them to view the cameras covering that area to investigate what’s going on.
