When importing your data via AWS Import/Export into a bucket that has Versioning turned on, the objects within your bucket will not be permanently overwritten. The import process simply creates a new version for each object in your bucket. When exporting your data via AWS Import/Export from a bucket that has Versioning turned on, you can only retrieve the most recently written versions of your objects.
