How does Verizon Wireless count text messages?
Actually “Monkeys” is incorrect on something. The billing will show the plan you have and number of messages used based on that plan. Since you have 250 then you get 250 messages sent or received to any carrier, including Verizon Wireless. The plan he/she is talking is $10 for unlimited Verizon to Verizon messages and 500 messages that go to any other carrier. This is not the plan that you have. Couple things that could effect the billing is…. if you are new customer the billing could have been pro-rated that is why you are seeing the different listing of the numbers of text messages or the package could have just been added within the last 2 months so the same proration is going on. The last option is if you are looking online the 50/43 could be what your current usage for this month is and the 663 is what you used last month. “Monkeys” is right by saying that ever messages sent or received does could as 1 in itself.
