How does Verizon High Speed Internet work with my Door Answering Service?
If you live in a high-rise apartment building, you may use a door answering service. When a visitor pushes a button or dials a code from the door of your building, the door answering service interrupts any other communications on your phone line, and your telephone rings. This may cause your DSL modem to lose sync, interrupting your Verizon High Speed Internet connection. When the door answering service call ends, your DSL modem re-establishes sync, and you can log back on to the Internet. Note: If your DSL modem is connected to your computer using a USB connection, or if you use an internal DSL modem, you may have to restart your computer to restore sync, and then re-connect to Verizon High Speed Internet.
