How does Verified By Visa work when I make purchases at participating Online stores?
i) You will select the goods or services you want from the Verified By Visa online store and proceed to the payment page. ii) Enter your NBAD Visa card number and the online store connects with NBAD to check whether your card is secured with Verified by Visa. iii) The Verified by Visa pop-up window will appear on your computer screen displaying your Personal Assurance Message. The Personal Assurance Message was designed to reduce the risk of fraudulent merchants presenting false credentials to unknowing internet users in order to gain access to personal financial information. This will give you the assurance that the screen is authenticated by NBAD, before entering your password. iv) Confirm your Personal Assurance Message, then enter your password. NBAD will then confirm your identity to the merchant. v) Your payment is authorized and your order is placed. It’s that simple.
