How does VC2 fit into current.com?
We’re focused on finding more ways than ever to get your contributions onto Current TV, and VC2 is an important part of that. In addition to full-length pods, we’re going to throw open our entire production process, by asking our community to participate every step of the way. We want to know what kind of stories you’d like to see us cover, who you think we should talk to, where you think we should go for research. And once we’ve got the framework in place, we’re going to ask you to contribute, with video and pictures and even simple text comments. Sometimes your input will show up as elements in our pods, and sometimes your input will show up in the wraps (AKA the intro or outro to the pod). We’ll still be asking for viewers to create ads for our sponsors, and in fact are looking for clients who’ll let us experiment with things like animation or rich media games so that we can find new communities to participate.
