How does Vancouver feel about Todd Bertuzzi being reinstated to play after his vicious hit on Steve Moore?
This city has always backed Todd. We’ve always supported him. He’s made a terrible mistake, everybody’s recognized that. He came out immediately. He was contrite, he apologized, what else do you want from the guy? I mean when a guy makes a mistake and apologizes, you’ve got to move on, you’ve got to accept his apology. It takes a big man to apologize, but it takes a bigger man to accept an apology. I just think that everybody needs to move on. It was a long time ago, we wish Steve all the best, but it’s time to move on. Let me ask you about the Olympics. Ice Hockey is THE sport in Canada, and it was said before the Olympics that if Canada didn’t win the gold then it would be a failed effort by the country.
