How does using plants from the Rainforest help to preserve the Rainforest?
A. We advocate the preservation of the Rainforest by promoting the use of sustainable and renewable botanical resources. By creating an income stream for the indigenous people, for the company and for the associate, we make the Rainforest “more valuable alive than dead.” The latest figures show that, in one year, an acre of rainforest land converted to cattle operations yields the land owner $60; timber operations, $400; and harvesting of renewable and sustainable resources, $2,400. To date, 17 indigenous tribes are working with Amazon Herb Company in sustainably harvesting these herbs. effectively stabilizing and preserving 300,000 acres of Rainforest land. These numbers are going to continue to grow. Please also see the Rainforest Projects the Company is involved in.
