How does United Way of Nevada County allocate money raised?
Citizen Review Teams (CRT) visit each of the nineteen member agencies. Each team of four people meet with the Executive Director and key staff to review their application for funds. The application includes financial statements, program objectives and outcomes, financial reports, fundraising sources, agency management, agency fiscal management and effective delivery of services which meet identified community needs. Each CRT then makes recommendation on how much to allocate each agency visited.
