• Many of the County’s departments are using the power of GIS. The master plan for GIS in Union County is to have a system where all county departments will have access to GIS software and data. Rather than maintaining incompatible hardcopy maps, each department will be maintaining information in the GIS. Once this has been implemented the county offices will be able to store and manipulate information in a very efficient manner.
