How does UMS guarantees the data quality acquired?
UMS is utilizing a proprietary computer environment the “Mercury Environment” that enables the data collection operators download the data on a laptop PC while on the field. The data then are imported into maps the client has provided in any format. The “Mercury Environment” enables the GPS data to be integrated with the map and secure that fit correctly. In addition the operator is provided with all the electronic drawing capabilities that enable of additional CADD type drawing of Base Map elements that are missing or changed. Such elements can include road shapes, house services and reference points or structures to be incorporated in the maps by the clients mapping Department. Full notes and geo-referenced pictures can be easily added into the maps along with the GPS data providing full Utility Asset Management capabilities.
