It’s a combination of our own prioritization with community input. Trees Atlanta uses geographical data to locate areas in most need of trees, such as canopy gap analysis and areas with high heat island indexes. Our staff constantly identifies planting locations which will have the greatest benefit to the community. We also take requests and encourage input from diverse stakeholders like city council, NPUs, parks and green space committees, and YOU, neighbors that want trees in your neighborhood.
