How does TransGaming determine if a game is “officially supported” in the GamesDB?

TransGaming determines officially supported games based on a number of criteria being met, such as the game’s popularity and it’s playability under Cedega. Each game is subject to extensive Quality Assurance testing to ensure that our users have an enjoyable Linux gaming experience. Each officially supported title includes maintained entries in the GDDB, containing configuration settings which are updated on a regular basis as we see fit. This ensures that our supported games using these entries are installed correctly and are played using the optimum settings that we have determined. As each game (and edition) can vary quite differently in design, some games may work but are not yet “officially supported” as our QA and Development Team have not determined that all criteria have been met to our standards. If you would like to recommend a particular title for official support, please create a Poll for our community to vote on.
