How does TONALIN CLA work in the body?
CLA works in four parts of our bodies: Adipocytes, Triglycirides, Apoptosis, and CPT. • Adipocytes are fat cells. Most of our body fat is stored in these cells. CLA decreases the number and size of adipocytes, lowering your body-fat mass. • Triglycerides are fats. Most of the fat in our food and bodies comes in the form of triglycerides. Once these fats enter your blood, an enzyme called LPL (lipoprotein lipase) transfers them to adipocytes (fat cells) where they are stored. Studies show that CLA decreases LPL activity, so less fat gets stored overall. • Apoptosis is a process. Its how our bodies cause fat cells to disintegrate. (Its also called cell suicide. Seriously.) By increasing the rate at which fat cells disintegrate, CLA decreases the number of existing fat cells stored in your body. • CPT (carnitine palmitoyltransferase) is another enzyme. It transports fatty acids to the mitochondria where theyre turned into the energy you need to keep going. Additional studies show that CLA
