Teachers, Paraprofessionals, School Support and Office personnel employees who are full-time, must work at least 99 days per school year as 10-month employees. Recess days (winter and spring break and the day after Thanksgiving) do not count as part of days worked. Bus Drivers, Custodians, Food Service Workers and other American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employee; and Confidential Exempt Personnel must have time worked in the school year on or before March 31 to advance a step. Managerial Exempt Personnel (MEP) and Dade County School Administrators’ Association (DCSAA) must have time worked in the school year on or before March 31 to receive a salary increase.
