How does this urine analysis compare to a blood nutrition test?
There are several different blood tests for nutrition, which are all quite expensive. Most blood tests measure the level of certain nutrients in the blood (e.g., Vitamin E, Vitamin C, etc.). While this is useful to identify levels of those nutrients, it does not provide information about the utilization of the nutrient. The urine analysis studies the by-products of cellular function of many systems in the body. This tells scientists how well the body’s various systems are using the nutrients available to them. With that information and other pertinent data, individual needs, deficiencies and surpluses can be determined for various nutrient groups.
