How does this project support Canada’s National Children’s Agenda?
The National Children’s Agenda (NCA) was established in 1997 by the federal, provincial and territorial governments to improve the well-being of Canada’s children. HELP’s Mapping Unit provides a critical portrait of children’s development in BC to support federal-provincial-community collaboration on early child development. No other province in Canada has access to such a comprehensive range of information on children’s development (e.g., language and cognitive development, social competence, emotional maturity, and physical health).
