The projects form an integrated web of higher-order transit services in Scarborough. There will be a very convenient, high quality transfer between the Sheppard East LRT line and the SRT extension at Sheppard Avenue. The Scarborough Malvern LRT and the SRT will connect at Kennedy Station. The Scarborough Malvern LRT alignment is a direct result of this study which determined that two lines serving Malvern Town Centre could not be justified at this time and that an extension of the SRT beyond Sheppard Avenue would be of more benefit than an extension of the Scarborough Malvern LRT.
