How does this period of development fit into the overall plan for USA Wrestling?
ZJ: “Absolutely, it is the most important first step in the plan. We are at the start of the cycle towards the next Olympics in London. The phase we are in is a learning phase; learning the technique, learning the strategies, the tactics, and the basics of freestyle wrestling.” “Until we understand and know the basics; we can’t learn to master the ankle lace, the gut wrench or gut wrench defense. Those are just a few of the examples; until we get those down we have to lay the building blocks before we can get into the mastery.
