The Student International Business Council (the largest academic student organization on Notre Dame campus) helps students add an international component to their lives during their formative “college years”. The SIBC has helped many students find a higher life purpose than just “getting a job”. Many council members take internships abroad (arranged by the council) and have a chance to appreciate and perhaps attain a higher life purpose – which would be to help those who are less fortunate than Americans though teaching them modern commercial principles. These commercial principles are the same tools our forefathers used (free enterprise and basically sound business principles) to lift our own spirits, and ultimately our wellness and our financial status.
