How does their gear sponsorship differ from motocross racers?
The Metal Mulisha probably goes through a quarter of what racers go through. Brian Deegan and Ronnie Faisst do a lot of demos, but they don’t really wear through gear. When the X Games and other big events come around, we’ll outfit the riders with quite a few sets of gear, and the gear is super new stuff because the gear will be on television all over the world. How important are the X Games to No Fear? It’s very important. Over the years the X Games have been consistently getting more exposure, and so many people and corporate companies are into the X Games. With concerns to freestyle riders, it’s like if a rider doesn’t qualify for the competition then they’re almost completely out of the freestyle loop. In order to get exposure you have to get into the X Games. How is it dealing with the Metal Mulisha?
