How does the Writing Lab work and how long is a typical session?
The Writing Lab is a drop-in service where English faculty members assist visitors with any writing projects they have: academic, personal, and/or professional writing. We often begin by asking you what you want to focus on for the session, and if you have any notes or handouts your instructor may have given you. Sessions average about 15 minutes depending upon how many students need assistance and your specific needs.
