How does the workload in Honours Science compare to Vaniers regular science program?
Because Honours Science students are well prepared in their high school math and science courses, the amount of time teachers spend on reviewing this material is considerably reduced. This frees up time to extend and deepen the CEGEP level material covered in our courses. At the same time teaching Honours Science is not a license for teachers to burden students with unreasonably large amounts of work. All our teachers are asked to respect the following guideline: at the end of the semester, students in Honours Science classes should receive the same mark they would receive in any other class. However, the students do learn a lot more along the way.
