How does the WOL(Wake-On-LAN) function?
The on-board Wake-On-LAN connector is a three-pin bracketed header. Pin 1 is Standby 5V which is used to provide the current thru cable to network card. If this current is too weak, you will not see any LED lights at the back of your network card when system is in Soft-Off state. Pin 2 is Ground Pin 3 is Control signal from network card to motherboard, which is used to generate a pulse to wake the system up.
