The Act provides that the terms “mental health benefits” and “substance use disorder benefits” will be as “defined under the terms of the plan and in accordance with applicable federal and state law.” Neither federal nor Ohio law provide a specific definition of what mental health or substance use disorder benefits must be covered in a health benefit plan or insurance contract.
