How does the Web Part Zone Control Adapter assist me with removing tables in MOSS?

0

This is a special Smart Adapter that modifies the output of SharePoint so that it does not use tables for layout of the Web parts. The Web part zone adapter changes the layout in display mode to use

tags versus table tags. This adapter is in the same class as the Smart Adapter and requires no configuration besides the administrative deployment. This means that organizations can deploy a SharePoint site in display mode without the tables introduced by the Web Part zone. By design this works only in the display mode. This Adapter, used in combination with CSS friendly adapters*, allow organizations to minimize the use of tables for layout in conformance with accessibility best practices. *Note: if you are using the default SharePoint navigation, http://www.codeplex.com/cssfriendly, CSS friend adapters address tables introduced through MOSS navigation menus.
