How does the weather in Cape Verde affect the plants?
It is very important to know which kind of plants adapt better to the weather conditions. After a vigorous study of the autochthones plants from the archipelago, we have been able to produce a timetable showing us the correct times and conditions for sowing, transplanting, fertilization (etc.) the plants to have the best outcome. At the moment we have more than 100 different species and all of them are growing healthy and quickly. We have different types of Palm Trees (Washingtonia, Canariensis, Real, Coco Nucifera, Areca, ec.), Bouganville, Hibiscus, Croton, Acacias (Rubra, Saligna, Flamboyant, etc.), Agaves, Aloe Vera, Cactus, etc. At the moment we have a total of 100.000 plants distributed in just 1 hectare with 11 hectares available for future production.
