How does the waitlist process work?

All students who were not admitted to another clinic and listed a clinic as any number choice are automatically listed on that clinic’s waitlist, in the order that they ranked the clinic. When a clinic experiences a withdrawal or other unexpected vacancy, it will select a student from the students still available in the clinic’s “first choice pool.” If no students are available or accept an offer to fill the vacancy from the first choice pool, the clinic will consider students in its second choice, third choice, etc., pools until it fills the vacancy, similar to the manner in which clinics decide which pools of students to consider during the regular application and selection process.
