How does the VMP accelerate learning and adaptation?
A basic principle of the VMP approach is that there is limited value in creating overly-detailed, long-range strategic plans. Rather than focusing on strategic planning, the VMP emphasizes continuous adaptation as the essence of successful strategy and execution. As part of the monthly VMP meetings, operating results are reviewed in light of the companys strategy and execution plans.
