HOW DOES THE USCF MEASURE SUCCESS?
Two ongoing challenges for the USCF are accountability and self-assessment. How do we track and measure the success of our efforts — and, even more important, how do we align our efforts with the needs and priorities of our stakeholders? The USCF needs a Balanced Scorecard for Assessing Organizational Effectiveness in the coming years. This metrics system should help us track the Federation’s performance in vital functional areas, in a manner that allows comparison of those areas over time. It is a tool for both strategic performance measurement and strategic management. By allowing us to view Federation performance through a set of complementary lenses, it helps us identify areas of strength and those needing attention. It helps management clarify Federation priorities: outcomes are incorporated into the annual Program Plan and are an ongoing factor in strategic planning.
