UDL is performed over the PSTN line, which for the GPRS/PSTN TCD is attached to the T1/R1 pins. For UDL – also connect the phone line to the panel (as per a digi) – connectivity is independent of the TCD. Whether the end user or the installer has to initiate the call depends on how the installer sets things up.
