How does the unique shape of the soundhole on the Firefly effect the sound?

Each of the Legacy Custom models has had a unique soundhole. This fresh and different look is a nice departure from the standard f-shaped soundhole. We have tested many mandolins side by side to determine if there is any difference. We have been able to find no noticeable change in tone depending on the soundhole shape.
