How does the Ultra Whitening system work?
Teeth whitening is actually a bleaching process that lightens discolorations of the tooth enamel. The Ultra Whitening process uses a foam strip impregnated with a peroxide-based gel that is inserted into a disposable double-sided mouthpiece / lens; the gel is then activated by our patented blue-LED / UV light system. As the active ingredient in the foam strips (hydrogen peroxide), is broken down, the U.V. light and the warmth acts upon the stained organic deposits, which oxidizes them into a white color. This process makes the overall tooth color closer to its natural unstained color. Your tooth structure remains unchanged.
