How does the U.S. government gives Israel more time in Gaza?
The U.S. government buys time for Israel by not putting meaningful pressure on them to stop their attacks. Real pressure from us makes it difficult for them to continue with their actions. We also buy them time by slowing down or halting the processes by which the UN, NATO, or any number of other multi-national organizations might start putting real pressure on Israel.
