How does the Triple Option plan work?
HealthyBlue Triple Option offers three choices each time you seek care: • Option 1: All care is coordinates through your BlueChoice personal primary care physician (PCP) and you need a referral to see specialists – Lowest cost to you. • Option 2: You can access care directly from any provider in the BlueChoice network without a referral from your PCP – Higher cost to you. • Option 3: You can access care directly from any provider, anywhere, without a referral — Highest cost to you. While you have the lowest out-of-pocket costs if you have a PCP and work through him or her for your care, you can always decide if you want to seek care directly from any provider. The choice is yours.
